Amping Up for the Season Start

18 and counting!!

The number of players NQ Fury have now, thanks to the most recent awesome news and signing of Mark Hughes "The 188cm, 83kg player becomes the Fury's third visa player along with Andre Kilian and Dyron Daal" as written in Today's Townsville Bulletin.

The offer came a little bit out of the blue," explained the departing Hughes. "It is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity and if I don't go for it I think I'll always be thinking 'what if'. 1 He has a great sense of the game and at such a young age it is a great plus for such a young club. He is a leader and it seems it's going to be a fight for captaincy between the Fan-favourites Williams and Pasfield and now Hughes.

The Townsville Bulletin reports it's "expected to make a "huge" announcement on an international player within the next week".

In other FURY news, membership will HOPEFULLY be available by next week (as the start of the new financial year). Everyone with old memberships will receive emails or I will no doubt let everyone know the packages if they change in prices and areas.

We Have A Coach

We now have a coach!!!!
We have 15 players, 2 Goalkeepers, 3 Defenders, 8 Midfielders, and 2 Strikers; if Czech Coach, Franz Straka, is going to play his usual 4-5-1, we have enough suitable players to be on the field, with 4 substitutes.

This is exciting, with everything looking up for the new-look re-established Fury!

We need to show our support over the next 2 months before Fury Season 2 starts for us!! We need to show the FFA that we can support our Football community, including the professionals. Show the Cowboys Supporters that we do belong in the limelight and show the nay-sayers that we have a respectable team that can win. The fact that we have a team in the A-League gives us a better chance to have the World Cup games in our city.

The other codes in Australia reluctantly have backed our bid for 2018 or 2022 World Cup, after we could actually show that Football is the World Game, bringing more people than just 3/4 countries for the Rugby World Cup or the Union World Cup, bigger than the 2000 Sydney Olympics, or even more recently the 2006 Melbourne Commonwealth Games. People can't judge the Game by how we play, although we may not WC winners, we can shock people as the under dogs and give the opposition a run for their money when the need for it is in crunch time.

So this is how I feel! Let me know how you feel about the current status of how the Australians should support the world game.

A New Beginning

Welcome to the new blog where the NQ Fury FC team will be discussed; from news to team talk and tactics, to the off-field frenzy that is the media.

This blog will be from a perspective of a local football player, whom is a Fury Fanatic, although not in the infamous F-Troop.

Please follow and comment on the topics you feel.

Cmon The Fury.

PS- might also talk on some Socceroos news as the World Cup fixtures start.
