Fury VS Victory- The Game of the League's History

The events during today's game has seemed to be due to a bit of costly call for old-school Socceroo Muscat, A-League Debutant-Ref Boyle (ex SPL), and mostly of all the 2 players with what seemed harsh calls.


Looking back at the first penalty, which Grossman hassled Kruse into diving after losing his footing in the box. This should not have been a red, as he was not the last defender. After Kruse dived, Storey was right there clearing the ball. 


The second penalty, for Victory, was very close and the Assistant should've called the tackle as outside the box as that is where the tackle was first made, and also the fact that it was simulation, as Boyle did correctly call upon on other times in the game.


Akoto's sudden urge to push Muscat over was just the reaction he was trying to provoke, very childish-mind-like, nevertheless should've only been a yellow as it was his first infringement. It'd be an interesting read to see the ref report to justify all this.


The penalty for us didn't seem correct either, although the ball was already played in when the whistle was blown.


It seemed like we had the game until the events leading up to the Red Cards losing our Center Backs and also our leading goal scorer (Grossman - 2).


This has shaken things up a bit, although we have promise in the newbies waiting to get a smell of that green jersey, as Brad MacDonald (Defender) and Jack Hingert (Defender), still yet to be named in a squad yet, and this will be their time to shine.


Hard luck on the draw, yet we are still UNDEFEATED!!! Tied 2nd on ladder with Adelaide and they are our next opponent at home.
